Sugar-Free Cookies Recipe for Diabetes:

In today's blog, we will tell you how to make sugar-free cookies for diabetics, A common question people often ask is whether they can eat cookies in diabetes.There are many diabetic biscuits or diabetc cookies available in the market that diabetics should avoid because they have a high EGL. However, this does not mean diabetics can't eat cookies or biscuits.

In the market, there are also some cookies available with low EGL that diabetics can consume without significantly raising blood sugar levels. Apart from that, you can also make cookies or biscuits for diabetics using the recipe provided in this blog. 

The EGL of the ingredients used in making diabetic cookies:- 

The EGL values for Butter, Pista, Diabexy sweetener, and Diabexy atta are 0, 7.5, 1, and 7 respectively. The EGL of any food item indicates how much it will raise blood sugar levels when consumed. Because these food items have a low glycemic index (GI), we can use them in making cookies for diabetics.

Crispy Pista Sugar- Free Cookies Ingredients:

  • Diabexy flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Diabexy sugar 3 tbsp
  • Salted butter 100g
  • Chopped pistachio 50 g

 

How to Make Sugar-Free Cookies for Diabetics:- 

  • Add the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix. Also, add the Diabexy sugar to it and mix well.
  • In another bowl whip the cold butter until it is light and airy. 3-5 minutes with an electric whisk or 10 minutes with a hand whisk.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the whipped butter and mix gently until a dough is formed. 
  • To a piping bag add a wide piping tip and fill it with the cookies dough.
  • Make the cookie pattern as shown and add chopped Pista on top.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Let it cool for 30 minutes on a wire rack and then serve.
